Special Treatment Of HDPE Geomembrane

The bend of the dam slope is marked by the intersection of the slope, and special attention must be paid during laying and welding. It is essential to cut the geomembrane according to the actual situation to ensure its close adherence to the base of the dam slope. Failure to do so can result in undesirable effects like "suspension" or "drumming".

To ensure proper construction, the operator must accurately measure and cut the geomembrane into a shape that resembles an inverted trapezoid. The top width of the shape should be wider while the bottom should be narrower. This process requires great attention to detail to achieve the desired results.

Blind ditches are present in the design at the point where the slope of the reservoir area meets its bottom. This occurs at the intersection of the two areas and there are several blind ditches incorporated into the design.

To start the construction process, the geomembrane should be positioned on the surface of the dam, with a distance of 1.5 meters from the blind ditch.

The bottom of the reservoir is connected to the membrane, with the adjacent pieces welded together and pressed into the blind groove. The first step in the process is to weld the two pieces together before pressing them into the groove. This ensures that the connection is secure and that the reservoir can function properly. With this method, the bottom of the reservoir is firmly attached to the membrane, preventing any leakage or other issues. By following these steps, the reservoir can function efficiently and effectively for a long time.

To connect the dam pipe and the geomembrane, the first step is to cut the HDPE geomembrane into a pipe sleeve shape based on the diameter of the leachate through the dam pipe. This pipe sleeve should be divided into 6-8 small pieces and then sequentially sleeved into the dam pipe from large to small. It is important to adjust the position of the pipe sleeve as needed and temporarily fix it using a hot air welding torch. It is crucial to ensure that the pipe sleeve does not have any suspended part. Ultimately, the size of the pipe sleeve should be welded to the HDPE geomembrane and leachate through the dam pipe, and further reinforced using stainless steel hoops.
